Things
to do while in the area
www.biggar-net.co.uk
- there are 6 museums in Biggar well worth a visit in the Easter
to September period and all in need of your support to avoid local
and Scottish memorabilia being lost forever. Exhibitions are either
free or very cheap. Biggar itself is a clean, smart country
town with a good selection of upmarket shops and a few cafes, just
15- 20 minutes drive South from Lanarkshire Hardwoods.
www.newlanark.org
- New Lanark is a world heritage site mill village with enough
to do to fill a day. Shops, cafes, exhibits of the old mill buildings
& workers, interactive & otherwise, all done to a very high
standard. Good for children too. Walks along the Clyde where you
can view the famous Falls of Clyde which are spectacular, especially
after heavy rain. About 15-20 minutes drive west from Lanarkshire
Hardwoods.
www.clydevalley.net

galleries in the locality.
