Sanding
Lanarkshire Hardwoods has a machine sander capable of sanding up to 900mm wide in one pass. The finish is coarse, suitable for shelves etc. For fine furniture you will need to sand further but this service offers a head start, removing all the machining marks and all or most tears.
Price is £15 inc vat per square metre per face, (edges left raw) minimum charge £10 per job and can usually be done while you wait for small quantities. Online sales - just email me for a quote and payment instructions.
We can also quote for a fully fine sanded finish & for oiling or polishing. We can normally carry out this service within a few days, worse case usually 4 to 5 working days. As a guide, very small quantities, Fully finish sanded ready for polish, is £100 per square metre, inc both faces, ends and edges. Oiled or most other forms of finish is £85 per square metre extra. Discounts for quantity. Please note full sanding and oil/polish services are carried out to a very high standard similar to the furniture being made by Patrick Baxter Furniture in the workshop.

A) Coarse sanded only : £15 per square metre, per board face
B) Full Fine Sanded Finish all round : £100 per square metre

as the sizes of the boards are listed in cms on the website, you can estimate yourself by multiplying the length by the maximum width and then divide by 10,000 ( or x 0.001)
NB if you need boards cut down to specific sizes first we will generally be happy to do a few cuts free of charge.
